                   Lentil Burger

Lentils and their benefits have been known to the world but the kids....😏😏
      There are umpteen times when you surrender to their whims BUT with a twist..😘😘
       




You try to make them aware of the dire consequences of the deficiencies but all in vain .
      My kids...GROWN UP KIDS- let me tell you..one in college and the other one in class XI ...decline to listen to my blah blah over nutritional issues. So I always end up adding this HEALTH REQUISITE in a recipe which they love...BURGERS.
      When I got to know of this challenge this was the first recipe which crossed my mind since my family just loves it .
  Here it goes......



      Ingredients :
3/4 cup Uncooked Whole Moong dal
2 Onions (chopped)
1/2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
1 Carrot (finely chopped)
1 Green chilli (finely chopped )
3 tbsp. Oil
1/2 cup Bread crumbs
3/4 tsp Salt






1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
1/2 tsp Roasted and powdered Cumin seeds
3/4 tsp Chaat Masala
1 Lemon's juice
Oil for Shallow frying
Burger buns





Directions:
1: Wash and soak moong dal overnight .
2: Drain the water and blend it to a smooth paste with very less water.
3: Heat oil in a vessel and add chopped onions.





4: Cook till translucent and add ginger garlic paste.
5: Cook a little till it's raw smell is gone.
6: Add chopped carrots and cook till it isoft.Add moong dal paste and cook till the liquid dries up.
7: Add green chillies and remove from flame.





8: Add bread crumbs, salt, red chilli powder, roasted cumin and chaat masala.Let it cool down.
9: Add lemon juice .
10: Mix it nicely and divide it into balls.








11: Make its patties and shallow fry.
12: Lightly shallow fry the buns and add patties to them along with mayo mixed veggies.Serve them with fries and ketchup.
